Each piece is handmade by our team in the St James’s studio using time-honoured techniques, from hand-blocking to intricate finishing. Particular attention is given to how a hat complements both the wearer and the occasion. The Bespoke Experience
The Consultation
Clients are welcomed by appointment, allowing for one-to-one attention and thoughtful consultation. While visitors are welcome to drop in, bespoke commissions are best arranged through a scheduled appointment to ensure dedicated time and a fully personalised experience.
Typically, the first bespoke consultation lasts around an hour, during which clients are encouraged to try on many different shapes and styles that will suit the occasion and outfit. It is recommended to bring the outfit or a swatch for colour-matching purposes to the appointment.
Each design can be dyed or adapted to complement the outfit and occasion precisely, creating a truly bespoke piece.
Re-trimming Service
The studio also offers a re-trimming service for their clients. This allows clients to return a hat at a later date to have trims adjusted, recoloured, or reimagined entirely.

Rachel Trevor Morgan’s work has been featured in leading international fashion press and worn by UK and European royalty over the years. Rachel and her team have created a millinery business celebrating that craftsmanship while offering a considered, highly personal service which has attracted a wide and discerning client list. In 2014, Rachel Trevor-Morgan was granted a Royal Warrant appointment as Milliner to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, recognising the exceptional standards of craftsmanship upheld by her studio. Her work for the late Queen forms part of a wider legacy of British design and ceremonial dressing.

Visiting the studio
The studio is located at 20 Crown Passage, London, SW1Y 6PP. It is a 5-minute walk away from Green Park station and a 10-minute walk from Picadilly Circus. Crown Passage is pedestrian and you will find the entrance to the showroom half way down the passage, between the newsagents and the tailor. The showroom is tucked away on the first floor and is accessible by going up a set a stairs.
The studio typically works by appointment int he busy season (April - June) however you are welcome to drop in to look at the collection and try on some hats. Hats and headpieces in the showroom are available to purchase off-the-peg or you can order a style in a bespoke colour.

The studio also offers an online personal shopping service through Whatsapp, Instagram or email.
